IT'S NOT JUST A SENIOR PHOTOSHOOT, IT'S AN ARTISTIC COLLABORATION - EAST TN, SENIOR PORTRAITS

Your session should feel like you — whether that’s bold and editorial, soft and sentimental, athletic and driven, creative and a little outside the box, or simple and timeless. The goal isn’t to fit you into a mold.

The goal is to create images that feel like art — art that reflects your personality, your story, your energy.

When I photograph seniors here in East Tennessee, I’m not just showing up with a camera and a pose list.

We’re creating something together.

Art you’ll still be proud to look at ten, twenty, thirty years from now.

These sessions don't just happen, they require planning and conversations.

Locations and Outfits Matter

Before your session you'll fill out a questionnaire online.

It's not just about logistics — it's about you.

What feels most like you right now? What are you proud of? What do you want this season of your life to feel like when you look back on it?

We’ll talk about location and outfits. They help support the story you want to tell.

Are you drawn to an open field at sunset? Downtown texture and movement? Your high school stadium? A quiet, meaningful spot that feels like home?

Location matters because it sets the mood.

Your outfits matter because they communicate personality.

I'll help you plan pieces that feel authentic — not costumes, not trends you’ll cringe at later — but clothing that reflects who you are right now.

We’ll talk through options, layers, variety, and how everything photographs together so you feel confident walking into your session.

Your Cap & Gown Photos Don’t Have to Be Stiff and Boring

Cap and gown images can feel powerful. Joyful. Confident. Even artistic.

They can feel like you.

We’ll absolutely get the classic photo your grandparents will love — but we’ll also create images that feel alive. Images that show the excitement of what’s ahead and the pride of everything you’ve accomplished.

Graduation isn’t boring, your photos shouldn’t be either.

Practical Ways to Prepare

Here are a few simple ways to walk in feeling ready:

  • Bring 2–3 thoughtfully planned outfits that feel like you.

  • Make sure everything is clean, wrinkle-free, and tried on ahead of time.

  • Consider small details — shoes, jewelry, jackets, meaningful items.

  • Include something from the college or job you plan to do after graduation.

And most importantly?

Come open.

Come willing to step into it.

You don’t have to know how to pose. You don’t have to be “good at photos.” That’s not your job.

Your job is just to show up as yourself.

I'll take care of the rest.

If you’re a high school senior in Greeneville, Johnson City, Jonesborough, or anywhere in East Tennessee looking for senior photos that feel creative, meaningful, and completely personal, I would love to work with you. My senior sessions are designed to be collaborative, relaxed, and focused on telling your story — from artistic portraits to cap and gown images that feel anything but ordinary.

This season only happens once, and it deserves to be documented in a way that feels authentic, confident, and true to who you are right now.
